Holidays can be also be stressful times for teens with Autism & other special needs. Here are a dozen calming apps geared towards teens that can help:

{note: Prices were verified in the Apple App Store at the time of this post but can change at any time. I only included iOS apps since I don’t have any Android devices and have only included apps that I have and use}
These can be incorporated with other strategies such as keeping some predictable routines, use of visual supports, being in tune with the teen’s sensory needs & knowing when they need a break to chill out. There is a high incidence of clinical levels of anxiety in teens with ASD so it is important to also seek out the help of a trained mental health professional when dealing with these issues.
