Here’s what I love about this book:

  • Positive messages of perseverance & friendship.
  • Gorgeous illustrations in calming muted colors.
  • Simple short text in a large easy to read font on each 2-page spread.
  • I have a precious patient with Autism whose name is Max and he LOVES owls…. I can’t wait to read this book with him and all my other patients. Many kids with Autism have a difficult time facing disappointment so this book will be an awesome addition to my library of kids picture books with themes of perseverance.
  • Several great mantras in this book:
    • Never give up.
    • Tomorrow will be a new day.
    • Prepare for the unexpected.
    • Taking care of yourself is important.
    • Obstacles are turned into victories.
