    • I have just received my book (It’s time for yoga). I am so excited and want to say thank you so much. I am so looking forward to using it with my students. It’s fantastic to have a resource that I know will engage the students in so many different ways. Again, a big thank you.

  2. Here are the comments from the entries received via the “Enter Giveaways Here…” tab on the OMazing Kids Yoga Facebook page….. they ALL made me smile 🙂

    1. I use yoga to help my CASA/GAL kids with relaxation, anger control and almost any other emotion they have trouble dealing with.

    2. This book looks wonderful!! I am about to begin officially teaching yoga to children and this looks like it would be a fun book to read before going on our journey in nature. Thank you.

    3. Nice Illustrations! Kudos to the author and illustrator! If I won this book I would
include it in my resources for workshops I present on my book Stories That Come Alive Through Yoga. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    4. I teach yoga to the children in my preschool. I love the colorful pictures and that the children are multicultural. We promote diversity and it is important to carry that over and one of many ways to promote it through yoga.

    5. I am a YogaKids teacher and I am always looking for new ideas for my classes. I love your blog and thank you for inspiring me on a weekly basis! I use books in most of my lesson plans. When teaching kids, I find that using a combination of pictures, reading, music, crafts and movement to be the key to keeping them involved on all levels. Tapping into all the senses and celebrating each unique personality in my class can be a challenge, but books like these stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. I usually pick a book related to the theme of my lesson plan for the day. I read one page, do the pose, next page and so on. Sometimes I switch it up and we play a memory game. We read the whole book first and then the kids try to remember and do poses in the right order. Kids love to have a visual of the pose they are doing, especially if the pictures are of other children doing yoga. They also like to know why they are doing the pose and are interested in the benefits of the pose. They love to learn about their bodies. It empowers them on so many levels. This book looks like it has it all.

    6. I work with children with special needs and I am always looking for new resources, that are fun and engaging. This book looks wonderful and I’m sure it would be useful in helping the students engage in yoga.

    7. I volunteer at my son’s elementary school and teach a yoga class every week. Would love to use it with the children there. Namaste.

    8. I will be using this book to inspire my amazing group of children here on the island of Maui! We sing, dance, and shine in our dance club where we also incorporate yoga. This will be a blessing to them!

    9. I don’t think you can ever have too many books to include in kids yoga classes. This one looks like a good one that may be referred to time and time again to remind children of the essence of the poses. The pictures are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

    10. I teach kids yoga at a studio and at schools with both typical and special needs
children. The book looks like a wonderful addition to use in our classes. The pictures
are visually stimulating and the wording as seen on the video on You tube seem positive and easy flowing.

    11. Thank you for all of your amazing resources for working with children. I am a brand new yoga teacher and working with a multi-age group ages 2-6 in two different settings. I enjoy looking at all the latest and greatest that you bring to us each day and seeing the creative ways that you weave different mediums into your classes. I know I can use anything you highlight successfully because they are not only child-centered and developmentally appropriate but Fun! Thanks again 🙂 Namaste.

    12. I am a K-6 Counselor in a rural elementary school on the Flathead Reservation in
Montana. I offer mindfulness and yoga as part of my guidance curriculum and this book would help guide me in introducing yoga to my young students. Thanks for this opportunity.

    13. As a full time children’s librarian and part time yoga teacher, I am fortunate to share yoga with library kids and a preschool. I incorporate storytelling with the kids and yoga, so this book seems like the perfect fit. Om.

    14. Will use this book in teaching yoga to kiddos, and use at home with my 6 year old. The illustrations and the children in the book are precious!

    15. I’d love to use this book with my special needs yoga class!I think it could be used for a wide span of ages too.

  3. I like the vivid illustrations , I think the children that I teach yoga to in my preschool would really enjoy this book. We promote diversity in our preschool and I think this book would be one way to incorporate that in our yoga program!
    Thank you,
    Kym
