I am SO excited to announce that it looks like I have finally found enough families to be able to offer some inclusive kids yoga classes here at JDMC!

- Here’s all the info & a flier (printable PDF: Inclusive OMazing Kids Yoga at JDMC – updated flier 6-2-12 ). Feel free to share with anyone who has kids ages 4-8 to help spread the word. If we have at least 10 kids we could also set up inclusive yoga classes for other ages.

A 3-week series of inclusive yoga classes for kids of all abilities, ages 4-8 years. All yoga poses and activities will be developmentally appropriate and can be modified to meet individual physical, sensory and special needs. Eco-friendly, kid-sized yoga mats will be provided during the class. Props and visual supports will be used as needed. Limited spots are available so register early!
Mondays 3:30-4:00pm
- Series 1: June 4, 11 & 18, 2012 (registration deadline: May 31, 2012)
- Series 2: July 9, 16 & 23, 2012 (registration deadline: June 18, 2012)
- Series 3: August 6, 13 & 20, 2012 (registration deadline: August 2, 2012)
$15 per child for each 3-week series. A minimum of 10 kids must register for us to offer this incredibly affordable rate of $5.00 per class. Maximum class size: 12. If the first class has reached maximum capacity and enough folks are interested, an additional class may be added at 4:30-5:00pm on those same dates.
All kids who participate in at least two 3-week series will receive a free copy of a kids yoga DVD to use to practice yoga at home.

A couple of folks have expressed interest in an inclusive “parent & me” yoga class for 3 year olds at JDMC….. so I thought I’d come up with some tentative dates to see if we can get enough interest to get that started at JDMC this summer too
Tentative Dates / Times: Mondays: 9:30-10:00am
Series 1: June 4, 11 & 18th – registration deadline 5/31/12 (if that will be too short of a time to get enough folks we could do 2 weeks for Series 1: June 11 & 18th – registration deadline 6/7/12)
Series 2: July 9, 16 & 23rd – registration deadline 6/18/12.
Series 3: August 6, 13 & 20th – registration deadline 8/2/12.
Cost: $21 per child w/ 1 parent for each 3-week series ($14 per child w/ 1 parent for Series 1 if we do a 2 classes instead of 3 for that series)
